Micro Teaching #1 – Teaching students the Hand 
Game “Double Double”
Lesson Plan


Beginning                                                                    2 minutes
Introduce the concept of hand games.   
Check in on peer knowledge of the topic.  
Give an overview of where I learned the game.  
What do you need to play the game?  

Middle                                                                         7 minutes
Introduce the words/verse.  
Have the students practice the words
Leader gets a volunteer to demonstrate with her
Group activity (divide into pairs) to practice (I will lead if necessary) and guided repetition

End                                                                            1 minute

Materials needed/space needs
No materials other than a persons’ hands and mouth
This activity can be conducted easily within the desk setup.  Voices may get a little excited as the students play the game – hopefully they will be having fun.

  1. Looks good! But I would like to see a breakdown of the activities and timings for that middle 7 minutes too.
